Winter Break: A Place of My Own
School’s out, the weather’s cold and the Denver Art Museum (DAM) is free for kids 18 and under. With Free for Kids, all youth receive free general admission to the museum, making it an affordable destination for Winter Break fun. The whole family can enjoy Winter Break: A Place of My Own, beginning Sat., Dec. 19, 2015, and running through Sun., Jan. 3, 2016. The Paint Studio, Create-n-Takes and the Family Activity Cart will be available every day for visiting families. While exploring the galleries, keep an eye out for special performances and storytelling, including the Best of Foxy and Shmoxy: Art Detectives, with special weekday performances on Tuesday and Thursday, Dec. 29 and 31, at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. The DAM is closed Mondays and Christmas Day.
The DAM’s Free for Kids program offers free general admission to all youth, including school tours and youth group visits, for the next five years thanks to gifts from Scott Reiman and Kaiser Permanente. For more information, visit denverartmuseum.org.
