18th Annual Día del Niño Celebration

April 28, 2019

International celebration of children 10am-5pm. Free general admission, bilingual activities, art making & performances by Comparsa Morelos (Chinelos), ARCINDA, Aspen Santa Fe Ballet Folklo, Montbello Drumline &
The Denver Children’s Choir.

One Book Colorado also will be on-site with local celebrity guest readers who will read to children in English and Spanish at 2:30 p.m. A complimentary book, soon to be announced, will be given to each child who attends the book reading.

In collaboration with the Consulate General of Mexico, the DAM also will be a drop-off location for the Éste es mi México (This is my Mexico) drawing contest, an international drawing contest that encourages 6 to 14-year-old children to capture Mexico’s extraordinary history and traditions. This contest is endorsed worldwide by Mexico’s consulates and embassies.

Visitors are encouraged to explore additional Golden Triangle Creative District cultural organizations participating in this celebration, including the Denver Public Library, Clyfford Still Museum, History Colorado Center and the Byers-Evans House Museum.
