On Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum in Denver will be transformed to look like a scene right out of Irving Berlin’s classic holiday film for the 1940’s & 50’s White Christmas Ball. Celebrating its sixth year, the large-scale charity ball will spark the imagination of 3,000 plus guests with a magical holiday party straight out of the 1940’s. Guests will enjoy live music, costumes, reenactments of classic holiday films, sleigh rides, food, drinks, and dancing. The annual sell-out event raises money for the Wounded Warriors Project and the Spirit of Flight Center Colorado.

With a canopy of lights, Christmas trees, and tinsel, the 1940’s & 50’s White Christmas Ball will feature big band music from the Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra, the Hot Tomatoes, and Christmas carols from the Denver Gay Men’s Chorus. Additional entertainment will include Marilyn Monroe, and Sammy Davis Jr. impersonators from international renowned shows including Vegas’s hot show “The Rat Pack is Back”; reenactments of “White Christmas,” an “It’s a Wonderful Life” Radio Show; and pictures with Santa. Guests will have the opportunity to mingle and dance among classic cars, WWII planes, props and lights from old movie sets, and take a sleigh ride. The evening’s entertainment will also include Blue Stocking Burly Q, swing dance demonstrations and lessons, and a dance contest.
