2015 Benefit for Shadhika

Come experience a day in the life of an at-risk girl in India and lend your support to Shadhika!
Shadhika, a Denver 501c3 organization that supports and empowers at-risk girls in India, will host a benefit on Sunday, September 27th from 2:00 – 4:00 PM for the public. The benefit will be held at the Posner Center for International Development (1031 33rd St, Denver, CO 80205).
During the benefit, attendees will assume the life of a girl in India and make their way through life stations which exemplify how their girl fights to stay in school, escapes child marriage, stands up for her rights, and takes care of her own health and nutrition. In addition, attendees will listen to the distinguished speaker, Medhavinee Namjoshi, who is recognized internationally for her work on women and girls’ rights in India as head of Vacha (“voice”) in Mumbai, a Shadhika grantee. Attendees will also enjoy an Indian dance performance by Mudra Dance Studio and hors d’oeuvres by Little India. Donations will be accepted at the door.
