3 to 21 Spring Book Club
March 7, 2022 - May 2, 2022
Join Us Every Monday at The Center for African American Health. Together we will review the Everyday Guide to Special Education Law Handbook.
Project 3 to 21 is a program for parents of children ages three years old to twenty-one years old with neurodiversity conditions and disabilities. This program will prepare parents to transition from preschool to kindergarten and provide the tools needed to foster independence while at school and within the community. This Spring we will be hosting a virtual book club on The Everyday Guide to Special Education Law by Randy Chapman. This book was primarily written from a parent perspective to help parents, students, and advocates better understand the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. There will be 9 sessions to match the 9 chapters in the book. Participants will have the opportunity to read a chapter before attending the in-person session. We will share an open dialog about the chapter.
