Active Minds presents 1968: Chaos, Conflict & Change
October 23, 2018
Join Active Minds as we travel back in time to 1968 to explore key events, such as the Tet Offensive, Apollo 8, and the assassinations of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy, all brought into America’s living rooms by television.
The year 1968 was a year of chaos, conflict and change—all brought into America’s living rooms by television. It began in January with the Tet Offensive in Vietnam and ended with the successful completion of the Apollo 8 moon orbit mission. In between we saw civil rights struggles, student protests, political upheaval, and the assassination of both Martin Luther King, Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy. Join Active Minds as we travel back in time to this key year in history to explore these and other important events. This program is sponsored by Rosemark Senior Living.
