Aurora Symphony Orchestra 2015 Family Concert
February 7, 2015
On February 7 and 8, 2015, Music Director/Conductor Norman Gamboa and the Aurora Symphony Orchestra will present their annual ASO Family and Children’s Concerts. This year the theme features selections from celebrated Broadway musicals including Cats, The Phantom of the Opera, and West Side Story. In addition, pianist Mallory Bernstein joins the ASO for the performance of Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin. The ASO has an important educational component as part of its concert season and the Family and Children’s Concerts are just one way the organization seeks to fulfill this goal.
This season, the ASO will present its Family Concert on Saturday, February 7 at 7:30 pm. Seating is limited and tickets are $15 general and $12 students, seniors, and military. For Sunday, February 8 the Children’s Concerts are presented twice at 1 pm with narration in English and again at 3 pm in Spanish. Admission to the Children’s Concerts is free of charge and seating is limited. All performances will take place at the Larry D. Carter Theater of the Community College of Aurora, located at 16000 East Centretech Parkway, Aurora, Colorado 80011-9036. Tickets for the February 7 concert and information for all performances can be obtained at Blacktie Colorado at https://www.blacktie-colorado.com/calendar/event-detail.cfm?id=263639, or through the symphony’s website at www.aurorasymphony.org.
