Become Your Own Best Friend: Daily Strategies for Living a Better Life

This course delves into the science of positive psychology to give you practical strategies you can use each day to increase positive well-being on a short- and long-term basis. These are science-based strategies that have been used by mental health practitioners around the world and have the power to change the way you live. Explore why gratitude is critical and find out how to experience positive emotions, practice mindfulness, and make positive daily choices regarding physical movement and diet. John Ameen teaches high school at ThunderRidge High School. With John’s curriculum design, ThunderRidge became the first high school in Colorado to offer positive psychology as a course, and one of the few across the nation to do as well. He is an avid student of positive psychology and a living testament to its effectiveness.
