Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center

Friends of Chamber Music opens their 2019-20 Chamber Series with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, presenting “New World Spirit,” on Wednesday, October 16, 7:30 PM in Gates Hall, Newman Center for the Performing Arts.
Celebrating their 50th Anniversary Season as the nation’s premier repertory company for chamber music, thirteen artists will join Friends of Chamber Music for “New World Spirit,” including David Finckel on cello, Gloria Chien on piano, and David Shifrin on clarinet. The program will include Harry Burleigh’s “Southland Sketches” for violin and piano, Leonard Bernstein’s Sonata for Clarinet and Piano, and Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring Suite for Ensemble. Tickets are $50 each; $10 for ages 30 and under.
