Denver — Cocktails for a Cause (CFAC) will be hosting their next event in support of Wish for Wheels, a local Denver nonprofit, from 5 – 10 PM on September 10, 2015 at the XJet Terminal @ Centennial Airport. Wish for Wheels provides new bikes and helmets to elementary-school children in low-income areas. This is the first co-ed, ticketed event for Cocktails for a Cause. Tickets for the event can be purchased at www.cocktailsforacauseco.org and include a bike and/or helmet for a needy child, dinner, drinks and dancing to Wash Park band, a silent auction, bike assembly and bike decorating along with other activities. RSVPs and advance tickets are required for this event. Tiered tickets are available at $75, $125 and $150.

Since Cocktails for a Cause was launched in July 2009, the 501 © 3 nonprofit has hosted 21 events and delivered to local charities nearly 320,000 needed items valued at over $280,000. Last June’s event for the Tennyson Center brought in over 27,604 items valued at $22,304. “We have incredibly generous attendees to our events and they appreciate donating items knowing they will be in the hands of someone in need the very next day. It’s why we call what we do “hand-to-hand” giving,” said René Harding, Founder and President, CFAC.
