Demand for notaries is increasing as more people require notaries for estate planning, medical care, real estate, loans, business, dispute settlements, and other legal documents. Becoming a notary can benefit you in your current job or become a source of additional income. Starting in May of 2010, the Colorado notary program rules require training for people seeking to become notaries, as well as renewing notaries that have allowed their commission to lapse by more than 30 days. This two-hour course approved by the Colorado Secretary of State fulfills the requirements of that State Statute 12-55-101. Learn notary law, processes and guidelines, and how to conduct proper notary transactions. Work through a sample exam in class so that you know what to expect when you take your online exam. Students will be issued a certificate upon completion of the training and an additional certificate upon successfully passing the state administered exam.
