Experts will discuss the history of environmental racism in Denver, Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Boulder, Grand Junction, the San Luis Valley, the Eastern Plains, Mountain Towns, and throughout Indigenous History.
The History of Environmental Racism in Colorado report contains information and the report will be available for public comment soon.
This report and event are part of CDPHE’s work to identify “historically disproportionately impacted communities,” as defined in Colorado’s Environmental Justice Act (HB21-1266). This report is one tool that will help CDPHE to determine how to put in place the Environmental Justice Act.
