Finishing on the RTD BUS #10 back to our starting location.
Ever thought about walking to work or to the store? Do you want to take Public Transit but are unsure how the RTD bus system works? Well now’s your chance to learn! Join the Stapleton TMA as we head out and about the neighborhood on 4 Community Walking Trips throughout August and September.
The Stapleton TMA is partnering with Walk2Connect to introduce Community Walking Trips to residents of Park Hill, NW Aurora, Stapleton and E Montclair. Trips will connect residents via walking to or from local areas of interest while actually riding an RTD bus or rail line on the return journey of the trip. These trips will include small trainings on how to use public transit, we will discuss interests around the neighborhood and the best practices on walking safety. We will also make time for discussion on unique neighborhood history and culture. Our hope is that these facilitated walking trips will heighten opportunities, interest and motivation to sustain on-foot and public transit travel while using local maps as a guide – for practical and recreational use.
