“Coping with Surprise Medical Bills and Soaring Health Costs”

September 22

Speakers from the Colorado Consumer Health Initiative will discuss soaring healthcare costs at 9:30 am at Montview Church. Stephanie Arenales manages the Consumer Assistance Program and Deb Judy is policy director at CCHI.

The Colorado Consumer Health Initiative has worked to pass legislation to give consumers more power when they receive a “surprise” medical bill from an in-network hospital where the physician is out-of-network. CCHI also helps individuals with healthcare costs through their Consumer Assistance Program.

The Sept. 22 program is part of a multi-week social justice emphasis at the Montview Presbyterian Church Contemporary issues Forum, which meets in the McCollum Room at Montview, which has served Park Hill for more than 100 years.

The League of Women Voters will describe the 2019 ballot issues Sept. 29 at 9:30 am.
