Tallgrass, the Fort Collins-based trio, bring gravel-road vocals, quick-picked guitar, and a rhythm section with ground-stomping sound. Their auditory originals include songs of happiness as well as sorrow, with three-part harmonies backed by drums, bass, guitar, and banjo.
Opening the show is Masontown, a young band with an exciting and eclectic take on the American acoustic tradition.The group unites the sounds of bluegrass, old-time, folk, and new acoustic music into a sonic melting pot that hearkens back to our deep musical traditions while remaining defiantly modern in conception.
