Danish String Quartet, presented by Friends of Chamber Music

The Danish String Quartet, Musical America’s 2020 Ensemble of the Year, will perform at the Newman Center on Wednesday, Feb 5, 7:30 PM. The evening will celebrate Beethoven’s 250th anniversary with a program of Beethoven string quartets.
Returning to Friends of Chamber Music after their well-received 2017 debut, the Danish String Quartet, Musical America’s 2020 Ensemble of the Year, will perform on Wednesday, February 5, 7:30 PM, Gates Hall, Newman Center for the Performing Arts. The evening will celebrate Beethoven’s 250th anniversary with a program of Beethoven string quartets.

Ludwig van Beethoven: Quartet No. 3 in D major, Op. 18, no. 3
Ludwig van Beethoven: Quartet No. 6 in B-flat major, Op. 18, no. 6
Ludwig van Beethoven: Quartet No. 9 in C major, Op. 59, no. 3, Razumovsky
Note: A second performance on February 4 will also feature Beethoven string quartets (a different program from the February 5 concert).
