The Indigenous Arts of North America Department invites you to attend the biannual symposium. Hear artists and scholars discuss the various ways Native people signal their indigeneity to a broader public.
Speakers will explore the importance of dress and adornment for Indigenous people and discuss how they approach artistic markets while remaining grounded in and respectful of their community histories and established visual canons.
Onsite tickets include breakfast, lunch, access to the museum, and a discount in the Shop for the day. This event is also offered online.
Museum Friends $40 in-person/$15 online, DAM members $50 in-person/$20 online, non-members $60 in-person/$25 online, students $20 in-person/$10 online.
