Eighth Blackbird at the Clyfford Still Museum

Four time Grammy Award-winning Eighth Blackbird will play at the Clyfford Still Museum for one night only. Join Friends of Chamber Music with our partners at the Clyfford Still Museum for this special experimental “Music in the Galleries” event. Sunday, April 22, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Launched by six entrepreneurial Oberlin Conservatory undergraduates in 1996, Eighth Blackbird is “one of the smartest, most dynamic contemporary classical ensembles on the planet” according to the Chicago Tribune. Over the course of two decades, the group has commissioned and premiered hundreds of works by numerous composers, released eight acclaimed recordings, and won four Grammy Awards. They were named Musical America’s 2017 Ensemble of the Year, and in 2016 were the inaugural recipients of Chamber Music America’s Visionary Award.
Wine, beer and light hors d’oeuvers will be served.
Tickets ($20) are extremely limited. Please note that this is not a seated event.
