This inaugural 5k Charity run (presented by The Goddard School) is a Boulder Boulder qualifying race/walk in memory of Luke Wyatt Morin. All proceeds of the race will go to Children’s Hospital Colorado to support research for DIPG.

This inaugural event presented by The Goddard Schools is a Boulder Boulder qualifying race/walk in memory of Luke Wyatt Morin. Luke attended The Goddard School for 5 years and was months away from kindergarten this year when he lost his battle with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a rare and highly aggressive pediatric brain tumor.

Luke was a loving, articulate, enthusiastic, active little boy. He was running around Bluff Lake one week prior to showing any symptoms. His symptoms appeared suddenly and he left this world just 17 days after being diagnosed with DIPG. There is still no effective treatment for DIPG and no chance of survival. All proceeds from this race with go to Children’s Hospital Colorado. The research team at Children’s Hospital Colorado is dedicated to advancing treatments and cures for DIPG and needs funding. Their ground breaking work will bring hope into the lives of children and families affected by DIPG for the first time in history.
