Folk Art Fun

Kids will learn about folk tales, discuss origins, and how real people create this art. Activities will include painting American flag banners on cut canvas, and painting a folk-arty country or city scene on masonite (wood panel).
Folk Art Fun
After reading a folk tale, we’ll look at pictures of old and modern American folk art and discuss the origins, and meaning of folk art, and how it’s art made from real people! Activities will include painting American flag banners on cut canvas, and painting a folk-arty country or city scene on masonite (wood panel). These adorably vintage-style flags, banners and painting will inspire patriotism just in time for Independence day decor!
