Gio Ponti in Caracas: the Villa Arreaza with curator Jorge Rivas

In the 1950s, modernist architect Gio Ponti built several houses in Caracas, Venezuala. Two of them are considered true masterpieces. Villa Planchart and Villa Arreaza.
Ponti believed the well-known Villa Planchart was his most remarkable residential design. The subject of this lecture is the elusive and somehow mysterious Villa Arreaza, also known as Villa Diamantina. Tickets for the 6-7 pm presentation are free for Museum Friends, $5 for DAM members and $15 for others.
