Since moving to Colorado 3 decades ago, Hazel Miller has been one of the most sought-after performers and a driving force in the music scene. She has toured and recorded with Big Head Todd and the Monsters, and appeared many times at Red Rocks Amphitheater as headliner and opener. With her new series of shows at the Dairy, she hopes to shine a light on lesser-known performers who deserve more attention. She’ll open the show, and then turn the stage over to them, perhaps coming back up for a song or two.
The first musician Hazel has chosen is Simone Fohrman, whose silky-smooth voice and original melodies are the front focus of the band Corda Vera.Their sound is dynamic and constantly evolving as they are influenced by several genres of music including classic and psychedelic rock, jazz, and the blues. Lately, the band has been in the studio working on an EP which they plan to release in the summer.
