Come learn about the Silver Ropes Volunteer Corps, a new initiative of The Lowry Foundation. It is designed to bring volunteers together to support a wide range of service projects. Time: 5:30-7pm. Wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.

The Silver Ropes Volunteer Corps is designed to link residents not only to the many activities of The Lowry Foundation, but also to opportunities throughout the Lowry community and beyond. We know there are significant needs in the community and our hope is to bring volunteers together to support a wide range of service projects on Lowry and in surrounding neighborhoods. We’ve reached out to a number of local organizations and agencies that need volunteers. We’ve created a section on our www.lowryfoundation.org website that explains the program and lists volunteer opportunities, and anyone looking to volunteer can peruse it and sign up for projects of interest there.

Why volunteer? You can do something new and interesting and learn new skills. You can work to improve situations and address a community need. You can do good for others and make an impact, which will provide a sense of accomplishment and an enhanced sense of purpose. You can meet and get to know like-minded individuals and create friendships that can last a lifetime. You can enrich your life.
