Jack Was Here, a Beat Generation Walk

Denver’s hip 1940’s brought the Beat Generation’s authors, Allen Ginsberg‘s Howl (1956), William S. Burroughs‘s Naked Lunch(1959) and Jack Kerouac‘s On the Road (1957), together in wild and crazy ways. Come retrace their steps as we haunt their stomping grounds in downtown Denver, seeking out Jack Was Here landmarks, stopping in on their favorite be-bopping 5 Points clubs, uncovering significant places that influenced Kerouac’s writing, and retracing the lives of these Beat characters.
