Junior Roller Derby Recruitment

Denver Roller Derby (DRD) is a premier roller derby league featuring a Top-10 WFTDA Ranked women’s roller derby team. The league’s Junior team, called “Major Turbulence”, will be hosting a recruitment event for new skaters on Saturday April 25 at 10 am. Girls and boys ages 6-17 are invited to play this exciting sport! Recruitment will take place at the league’s practice facility named “The Glitterdome” (3600 Wynkoop St. Denver, CO 80216).

What to bring: Mouth guard, water bottle, other skate gear that you have
Location: 3600 Wynkoop St. Denver, CO 80216
Skaters should bring a mouth guard (basic ones available at Wal-Mart, Target and sports equipment stores) and any other required skating gear they have (skates, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, and helmet). Some loaner equipment is available. League fees and application forms will be discussed at the Recruitment event.
If you know a young person who wants to gain confidence, feel empowered, and learn teamwork, roller derby is a sport that encompasses all of these values. And don’t worry if you’re not a great skater–we will teach you the basics!
