League of Women Voters Denver Presents: The Health of Denver Residents Now and in the Future

March 4, 2019

League of Women Voters of Denver presents a look at the current and future health of Denver residents through the eyes of an epidemiologist and two environmental health scientists.

Abbie Steiner, an epidemiologist at Denver Public Health, will present the results of a recent survey on the health of Metro Denver’s youth. The survey was unusual in that it was initiated by concerned young people observing their peers and wondering about their future.
Rosemary Rochford and Elizabeth Carlton, leading scientists on environmental health, from the CU School of Public Health, will present data from a recent publication they helped to write. It discusses environmental changes and how they are affecting the health of our population and what rising climate temperatures might bring.

Where: Montview Presbyterian Church, 1980 Dahlia Street, McCollum Room
When: Monday, March 4, 2019, 5:30 pm – Refreshments and networking, 6:00 pm – Presentation
