Draw inward and contemplate sacred music with Gaudete!

Gaudete, Denver’s new sacred music choir, presents Lenten Meditations on March 17, 2019 at 7 pm. The season of Lent is one of meditation and contemplation – and Gaudete invites you to experience refreshment and renewal through this offering of sacred music exploring the meaning of sacrifice and the deepest expression of love.

Even for those who do not observe Lent or follow a religious practice, this meditative program provides an opportunity to relax, draw inward, and contemplate the rebirth of the spirit as expressed through sacred music. The choir will present works by Anton Bruckner, Sir John Stainer, and Ola Gjeilo, along with hymns and interludes that result in a shared sacred music experience without the trappings of a church service.

Gaudete performs at the Althea Center for Engaged Spirituality, 1400 Williams Street, in Denver. We present short, uplifting offerings of sacred music without the church, generally once per month between October and May. There is no admission fee; your free-will offering is always gratefully accepted and goes to support our programming. Learn more about us at gaudetesingers.org, and mark your calendar for our final offering of this season on May 19, 2019: James Whitbourn’s Son of God Mass. Gaudete is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization.
