Let the Sunshine In is a new sixties experience, and a celebration of the vast musical contributions of Galt MacDermot. Best known for composing the rock musical, HAIR, Galt MacDermot’s career spanned more than 50 years, beginning with a Grammy award in 1960 for his song, “African Waltz”. Originally created by Eric Svejcar (New York-based Music Director and Composer) and Tamara Meneghini under the support and guidance of MacDermot himself, Svejcar and Meneghini weave together a journey of Galt MacDermot’s unique place in music history. In the words of MacDermot: “Eric and Tammy perform with the vigor and enthusiasm that music from the sixties need but with expertise and insight that is unique and gives the songs new life.”
