Lowry Speaker Series Presents: An Evening with Bird Conservancy of the Rockies

August 7, 2018

Bird Conservancy of the Rockies joins the Lowry Speaker Series on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 for a talk about the importance and wonders of birds. They will discuss the typical birds we can expect to find in our backyards and how to identify them. They will also talk about bird banding and its importance in conservation and invite the audience to participate in a bird banding demonstration, extracting felt birds from a mist net and collecting data from the birds (weight, wing and tail measurements, etc.). While there will be no live birds at this presentation, we hope this hands-on experience helps promote a love and understanding of birds.

When: Tuesday, August 7, 2018, 7-8:30PM
Where: Eisenhower Chapel, 293 Roslyn Street, Denver (in Lowry)

Admission is free; no tickets or reservations are necessary. For more information, please call Karen House at (720) 955-8833.
