The Lowry Speaker Series presents “Little Steps, Big Feat: Life and Leadership Lessons From One Woman’s Walk Around the World” on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 7:00pm-8:30pm at the Eisenhower Chapel, 293 Roslyn Street (on Lowry). Admission is free; no reservations are necessary.
In 1999, Polly Letofsky left her home and headed west across 4 continents and over 14,000 miles – by foot – to become the first woman to walk around the world. As an awareness campaign for breast cancer, survivors and supports around the world walked with Polly and welcomed her into their homes. But it was never an easy road. You will walk away with a renewed commitment to achieve the seemingly unachievable, determined to move past unexpected obstacles and embrace a new spirit towards your life and work.
