Hygge Birth Center to open as Donation and Outreach Center for Mothers’ Milk Bank. This is a convenient place for eligible moms who have more milk then their baby needs to donate. They can deliver their milk to help fragile babies across CO.

Hygge Birth and Baby will open a human milk Donation and Outreach Center, joining the network of Mothers’ Milk Bank, a Colorado-based, nonprofit program benefiting women and babies across Colorado and the nation. Mothers in northeast Denver with extra milk can make a difference in babies’ lives by donating their excess milk to MMB. Once screened and approved, they can conveniently delivery their milk to Hygge Birth Center in the Lowry area.

Hygge will safely transport the milk donations to MMB where it will be pasteurized, analyzed, and distributed to babies across the country whose mothers cannot supply sufficient milk for their needs. Often times, these babies are in the neonatal intensive care units and very fragile – human milk helps them survive and thrive. Hygge may also have donor human milk available for babies who need it.
