Barry Osborne and The Cockeyed Caravan use old-time and contemporary indie folk sounds to tell stories through music. Their Clyfford Still Museum appearance will feature songs from Barry’s song cycle, “What A Fool Might Suggest.” Set during The Great Depression, these songs tell the story of an unlikely alliance between two lost souls and draw from the poetry of Wisconsin objectivist poet Lorine Niedecker, family lore, tall tales, and music from the era. Joining Barry, who sings and plays clawhammer banjo, are Niki Tredinnick of The Dollhouse Thieves on vocals and multiple instruments; Olivia Shaw of Avenhart on fiddle; and guitarist Yoni Fine.
Performances at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.
