One Night Stand Theater presents “Villains”

One Night Stand Theater presents “Villains” on Sunday, October 6, 7:00 p.m. at Vintage Theatre, 1468 Dayton St. in Aurora. This production features performances and readings of plays and stories about bad guys, evil women, knaves and scoundrels.
This one-night-only production features short plays and stories about bad guys, evil women, knaves and scoundrels:
• Two highwayman dig up the coffin of their recently deceased partner in “The Haul” by Dan Weatherer.
• A superhero with bad luck suspects a supervillain is to blame in “Heroic Misconduct” by Jeffrey Wolf.
• A throne that appears in a couple’s backyard leads them to sinister deeds in “The Throne” by Verna Safran.
• Tea instead of whiskey is only the beginning of trouble in a Snake River saloon in “Old Gabe’s Still Dead” by John Christopher Wolter.
• A desperate plea for help is not what it seems in “Hello, Grandma?” by Linda Berry.
• Art, the law and hospitality collide in “Owl Killer: I Got No Cake for You” by Leroy Leonard.
• Meet Colorado’s newest villain in “The Invaders” by J. Jackson.
• Villains from history and literature come alive in the “Hall of Villains” by Bill Thompson.
“Villains” takes place on Sunday, October 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Vintage Theatre, located at 1468 Dayton St., one half-block south of Colfax Avenue in Old Downtown Aurora.
