Orangetheory® Stapleton DRI TRI Challenge on March 30-31 raises money to send local children with Muscular Dystrophy to summer camp
March 30, 2019
More than a dozen Orangetheory® Fitness (OTF) studios in communities across the Denver-Metro area, including Stapleton, are teaming up with the Muscular Dystrophy Association Rocky Mountain as part of the Orangetheory® DRI TRI Challenge event.
Every year thousands of children and young adults learn vital life skills and independence at the Muscular Dystrophy Association Rocky Mountain’s Summer Camp and other recreational programs at no cost to families. Sixteen Front Range Orangetheory® studios plan to raise enough money to send roughly 10 children across the region to the MDA Summer Camp which costs $2,000 per child.
“We are committed to giving more life back to the communities we serve and where our members live,” says Tim Johnson, Colorado OTF Area Representative. “The Dri Tri is the perfect opportunity for our studios to raise the bar and encourage our members to compete for a cause and to help send a child to camp and have the experience of a lifetime.”
The DRI TRI Challenge is designed as an individual challenge for members of all abilities to push themselves to new levels, providing a measurable goal to gauge their progress and performance, with the added motivation of a little friendly competition picking from one of the following Challenges:
• A 2000m Row, 300 Reps of bodyweight exercises and a 5k Run or 1.5mile Walk.
• A Sprint consisting of a 1000m Row, 150 Reps and a 2.5k Run.
• A Team Relay event, where teams of 3 work together
