I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change explores the journey from dating, waiting to love and marriage to the agonies and triumphs of in-laws and newborns, trips in the family car and pick-up techniques of the geriatric set. Through sketches and songs, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change takes on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum known as “the relationship.”
The hilarious comedy from two-time Tony award-winning writer Joe DiPietro (Memphis) with music by Jimmy Roberts is the second longest-running Off-Broadway musical review in New York theater history (12 years, 5003 performances), revised for the 21st century, is a celebration of the mating game. The 2018 version features two new songs, revised lyrics and dialogue throughout to reflect dating in modern times.
