Seven Days Too Long is an exhibition curated by Fluorescent Smogg in association with Mirus Gallery, Denver, This will be Fluorescent Smogg’s inaugural group exhibition in America. Featuring artists: Jonnie Cheatwood, Taku Obata, Sat One, Sickboy, Broken Fingaz, George Morton Clarke and MARS-1
Lucky number seven. A significant number across the world. It is represented throughout religions and cultures, from Shakespeare’s seven ages of man to Japan’s Seven Gods of Luck and Good Fortune. Now, this blessed numeral is outshining itself in a groundbreaking group show brought to Mirus Gallery, Denver, by the UK-based fine art editions house, Fluorescent Smogg.
Comprising of seven artists, several originals and seven editions, Seven Days Too Long is presenting a container ship load of talent. This show will draw on Fluorescent Smogg’s technical know-how and ingenuity to bring diverse disciplines, such as, 3D printing in gold, monotyping, screenprinting, woodblock printing and the ancient art of bronze-casting- all under one roof.
Following Fluorescent Smogg ́s dedication to breaking new creative ground, exhibiting artists were invited to throw off the shackles and make original paintings that push their capabilities to the limit. In addition, each artist was invited to create one bespoke edition in collaboration with Fluorescent Smogg ́s community of master craftsmen, artist technicians, seasoned producers and product designers.
