During the month of April, in celebration of Earth Month, Stanley British Primary School will participate in Red Apple Recycling’s Clothing Drive Challenge, to promote and raise awareness of the benefits of re-using and recycling. The school will be collecting used clothing, shoes, backpacks, purses, toys and stuffed animals and any miscellaneous household textiles (such as towels, sheets, etc.). Red Apple Recycling, a local non-profit organization, will sell the donated items to a local textile recycling company and use the proceeds to fund sustainability and wellness programs in local area schools. Stanley will receive $.10 per pound of donated items, which will be used to fund additional Stanley sustainability initiatives.
