State Attorney General Dem Candidate Forum

As head of the Colorado Dept of Law, the Attorney General is both the “People’s Lawyer” and the State’s chief legal officer. With a staff of about 300 lawyers and 250 staff, the State AG’s Office advises the Governor and statewide elected officials; provides legal advice and representation to the state’s executive offices, judiciary and state law enforcement agencies; and represents the interests of the people of Colorado in actions and proceedings on behalf of the state. State AGs are important defenders of the rule of law and due process.
