The Urban Farm Pop-Up Market
February 9, 2019
February 9, 2019 11 am – 3pm. Featuring hand-crafted Turkish kilims, pillow coverings, jewelry, TUF
logo items, fresh eggs (if our hens feel like laying some) and our
champion Lincoln Sheep! The sale will benefit the Urban Farm at Stapleton.
There’s not a whole lot of difference between raising sheep in Turkey and at The Urban Farm at
Stapleton. We raise them with lots of love and good food, shear them, we make the wool
available for weavers and then we weave rugs! Ok. TUF isn’t weaving rugs . . . . . yet. . . .maybe
someday . . . .But our good friend, Hamza from Istanbul, will be in town to help us raise some
money for TUF!
The Urban Farm inspires excitement for learning
through practical work experience in a farm setting
while fostering respect, responsibility, curiosity,
caring and grit. Located at 10200 Smith Road in Denver, the Farm supports innovative
programming for children age 6 – 14 by teaching agricultural sciences. Our 23-acre farm hosts
poultry, horses, sheep, goats, cattle and one cranky pig.
