This is the third year that Colorado Veterans Project is spearheading one of the largest Veterans Day Parades in the state. Comprised of thousands of local Veteran organizations, current military and community supporters – this annual celebration brings in over 8,000 spectators to downtown Denver to salute our Veterans.
Immediately following the Parade, all of the military memorabilia featured in it will go on static display in City Park and the Annual Denver Veterans Day Festival, sponsored by US Bank will commence. What was earlier outlined as the parade route will turn into a resource fair for parade spectators to mix and mingle with dozens of Veteran organizations all while enjoying food, drinks and music from local contributors. This Veteran’s Festival was created as a celebratory ‘Thank You’ to our Veterans and has organically turned into a less evasive forum for local veterans to seek help from the organizations so willing to offer it.
