The Colorado Railroad Museum is hosting a volunteer fair at the museum on August 19th from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Have you ever wanted to help in your community, and enjoy working with a diverse and interesting group of people? Do you like sharing Colorado’s rich history with visitors from all over the globe? The Colorado Railroad Museum is now recruiting adults (18 or older) who are interested in volunteering to help communicate the Centennial State’s fascinating heritage of railroading and how it has transformed our state!
The Colorado Railroad Museum has been recognized by Visit Denver as one of the region’s Top 10 Attractions for a dozen years running. Volunteers can choose to work at the Museum interacting with visitors from around the world, become involved in the Roundhouse working on rare and unique railroad equipment, help staff fun events including “Day Out With Thomas” and “The Polar Express,” or become involved in any number of other areas in this dynamic and fun environment.
Volunteering represents a serious commitment, but the hours are flexible and the rewards can be tremendous. Volunteers who commit to providing a minimum annual contribution of hours receive perks such as a complimentary Museum membership plus an invitation to attend the Museum’s annual Volunteer Recognition Banquet.
