 at American Songbook. Join the CJRO sextet for an evening of classic sta
 ndards. From beloved swing-era classics to fresh interpretations of jazz
  favorites\, the evening highlights the rich melodies\, soulful storytel
 ling\, and irresistible rhythms that continue to define America’s jazz
  tradition. Audiences will also enjoy an exclusive preview of selections
  from the ensemble’s upcoming fifth album. It will be the CJRO’s fir
 st small band recording with Marion Powers and is slated for release lat
 er this year.\n\nMarion Powers is a six-time DownBeat Award-winning jaz
 z vocalist\, arranger\, songwriter\, and educator known for her dynamic 
 improvisation and fresh\, modern style. Influenced by jazz greats includ
 ing Billie Holiday\, Carmen McRae\, and Sarah Vaughan\, Powers has furth
 er shaped her artistry through performances and mentorship with acclaime
 d musicians including Christian McBride\, Dianne Reeves\, and Melissa Al
 dana.\n\nThe CJRO Quartet includes Ben Paille (Trumpet)\, Drew Zaremba 
 (Saxophone)\, Jared Cathey (Saxophone &amp\; Clarinet)\, Eric Gunnison (
