 ion. Lopez has broken ground for Latino comics by embracing his ethnicit
 y\, confronting racial stereotypes\, and fighting for his community on a
 nd off the stage.\n\nLopez stars in and executive produces his multi-cam
 era comedy series for NBC\, Lopez vs Lopez\, featuring his real-life dau
 ghter\, Mayan Lopez. The family sitcom\, recently renewed for its third 
 season\, stars father and daughter in a fictionalized version of their r
 eal-life relationship\, exploring dysfunction\, reconnection\, and all t
 he pain and joy in between.\n\nLopez joined the DC Extended Universe\, s
 tarring in the Warner Bros. Latin superhero film\, Blue Beetle. Directed
  by Angel Manuel Soto and featuring a predominantly Latino cast\, the fi
 lm follows its first ever Mexican American teenager turned superhero. Th
 e movie received nominations for Best Superhero Film at the 2024 Saturn 
 Awards and for Best Superhero Movie at the 2024 Critics Choice Super Awa
 rds. Lopez can also be seen in Snoop Dogg’s Amazon MGM sports comedy\,
  The Underdoggs\, and in the independent holiday comedy How the Gringo S
 tole Christmas\, directed by Angel Gracia.\n\nLopez released the third i
 nstallment of his middle-grade novel series\, Chupacarter and the Scream
 ing Sombrero this March. He is currently performing stand-up across the 
 country on his Comedy Tour.\n\nLopez has four HBO specials: The Wall (20
 17)\, It’s Not Me\, It’s You (2012)\, Tall\, Dark and Chicano (2009)
 \, which was nominated for a Best Comedy Album Grammy Award\, and Americ
 a's Mexican (2007). His acclaimed comedy concert\, Why You Crying?\, deb
 uted on Showtime in 2004. He released his third stand-up CD\, El Mas Chi
