  2025!\n\n\nComedy Works proudly welcomes the legendary Emo Philips for 
 these special New Year's Eve shows. Described by Jay Leno as the best jo
 ke writer in America and by Gary Delaney as the best joke writer in the 
 world\, Emo Philips has performed over seven thousand stand-up shows in 
 comedy clubs\, colleges and theaters\, including a multi-week run at the
  Playhouse Theatre in London's West End. In 2018 and from 2022-2023\, Em
 o toured with "Weird Al" Yankovic (over two hundred concerts across thre
 e continents)\; Emo will forever remember the standing ovation he receiv
 ed at Carnegie Hall. Since starting out in Chicago in 1976 at the age of
  twenty\, Emo has had award-winning comedy albums\, several cable specia
 ls (including an hour-long one on HBO)\, and many appearances on network
  television\, in both America and the UK. He has appeared in films (most
  notably\, as the table-saw demonstrator in UHF) and has lent his distin
 ctive voice to animated TV shows (such as Adventure Time\, and Home Movi
 es)\, but stand-up remains Emo's first and true Love.
