 litzer Prize-winning book Tales of the South Pacific\, Rodgers and Hamme
 rstein’s South Pacific remains as timely\, heartbreaking\, and thought
 -provoking as ever.\n\n \n\nSet during World War II\, the musical follow
 s two intercultural love stories. U.S. Navy nurse Nellie Forbush wrestle
 s with her own prejudice as she falls for French planter Emile de Becque
 \, while U.S. Lieutenant Cable is drawn to a beautiful island native nam
 ed Liat. Both Americans struggle to reconcile their cultural biases with
  their feelings of love\, all under the looming shadow of war that threa
 tens their island paradise.\n\n \n\nBacked by one of Broadway’s most l
 ush and unforgettable scores—including “Some Enchanted Evening\,”
