  to showcase the work of celebrated American composer\, conductor\, auth
 or\, and educator Leonard Bernstein. Our combined concert\, Psalms and P
 assion: The Music of Leonard Bernstein\, highlights some of the composer
 ’s most dramatic and most popular music.\n\nBernstein’s Chichester P
 salms will be presented in its entirety with full orchestra and choir. T
 he soaring work combines the Hebrew language with the Christian choral t
 radition. Written in 1965\, Bernstein was implicitly issuing a plea for 
 peace in Israel during a turbulent time in the young country’s history
 .\n\nThe evening also features music from West Side Story and Candide—
 first by The Colorado Choir\, then by the Denver Pops Orchestra\, and fi
 nally by the two combined.\n\nWe hope you can join us for this special c
