 2026–27 season by stepping back into the energy\, style\, and musical 
 variety of the “The Roaring 20’s” on Sunday\, September 13 at 2:00
  p.m. at the Lone Tree Arts Center\, 10075 Commons St.\, Lone Tree\, CO
  80124. Tickets are $20 - $25 / $7 for children 5 and under. Tickets at

 alist Hannah Rodriguez\, the concert brings together jazz\, Broadway\, 
 marches\, and some of the most enduring works from the golden age of the
  concert band.  Rodriguez will join the band for newly created arrangem
 ents inspired by the music of the era\, including Rodgers and Hart’s t
 imeless My Funny Valentine and the lively Ain’t Nobody Here But Us 
 Chickens\, along with a medley of popular songs that captures the unmist
 akable sound and spirit of the 1920s. The program also includes George G
 ershwin’s Strike Up the Band\, Edwin Franko Goldman’s On the Mall\
 , and John Philip Sousa’s Black Horse Troop.\n\nThe concert highlight
 s several major works that helped shape the concert band repertoire\, in
 cluding music by Ralph Vaughan Williams\, Gustav Holst\, and Howard Hans
 on. The afternoon culminates with Percy Grainger’s Lincolnshire Posy\
 , one of the landmark masterpieces of wind band literature. Based on Eng
 lish folk songs Grainger collected himself\, the six-movement work range
 s from playful and exuberant to deeply expressive.\n\nHannah Rodriguez 
 is a dynamic\, award-winning vocalist and multi-instrumentalist based in
  Northern Colorado. With deep ties to Denver’s vibrant music scene\, h
 er genre-blending style fuses jazz\, rock\, and pop and she’s earned a
 ccolades from DownBeat Magazine and the Sonic Spotlight competition for 
 her expressive vocal performances and inventive arrangements.\n\nThe Den
 ver Concert Band is comprised of 90 musicians who love instrumental mus
 ic. These musicians are volunteers who rehearse and perform year-round t
 hroughout Colorado. The Band regularly performs for thousands of Colorad
 oans every year. In addition to the formal and summer concerts around th
 e Denver Area\, they regularly perform statewide and have also performed
  in Switzerland\, the British Isles\, France\, and Germany.\n\nJacinda M
 . Bouton has been the Music Director of Denver Concert Band since 1997 
 and is also Principal Conductor and of the Lone Tree Symphony Orchestra.
  She has served as guest conductor of the Denver Municipal Band\, and is
  an active conductor\, clinician and adjudicator throughout the Rocky Mo
 untain Region. Jacinda feels fortunate to have conducted these ensembles
  in over thirty guest artist concerts with members of the Colorado Symph
 ony\, the Philadelphia Orchestra\, and many other nationally and interna

 :  Eat\, Drink and Be Merry\n\nEnjoy a musical feast of food\, friendsh
 ip\, and holiday cheer featuring Food\, Glorious Food\, The Peanut Vend
 or\, Sousa’s Fairest of the Fair\, and Johan de Meij’s Dutch Mast
 ers Suite - a colorful work inspired by Dutch paintings that ends with
  a lively party.  The festivities continue with season favorites includ
 ing Santa’s Journey\, Eric Whitacre’s Lux Aurumque\, and How the
  Grinch Stole Christmas.  With festive music and a special guest from t
 he North Pole\, this concert is a perfect way to begin the holiday seaso
 n.\n\nFebruary 14\, 2027:  Blue Valentine featuring pianist\, Stephanie
  Cheng\n\nCelebrate the many moods of February with pianist Stephanie C
 heng performing George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. Premiered in Feb
 ruary 1924\, Gershwin’s classic brings jazz-inspired energy and color 
 to the center of this program. The concert also explores music connected
  to February holidays\, including Valentine’s Day\, Brazil's Carnival\
 , Black History Month\, and President’s Day through music ranging from
  romance and celebration to reflection\, including Aaron Copland’s Li
 ncoln Portrait.\n\nMay 2\, 2027:  Beyond the Horizon\n\nExperience the 
 spirit\, beauty\, and wide-open landscapes of Colorado while looking tow
 ard the future of concert band music.  The program will feature the Den
 ver Concert Band’s Young Artist Competition winner\, along with the wo
 rld premiere of a newly commissioned work by renowned composer\, Frank T
 icheli. The concert will also include Clifton Williams’ Caccia and Ch
 orale\, Zhou Tian’s Nocturne\, Rossano Galante’s Colorado Rockies
 \, and music from John Williams’ score to The Cowboys. These works cr
 eate a musical journey filled with adventure\, reflection\, and the prom
