After several months of conversations about the Stapleton name, five community organizations have jointly concluded that what’s needed now is to hear what residents and neighbors think.

In the building where air traffic controllers once coordinated landings and takeoffs for the old Stapleton Airport, Punch Bowl Social will open on Nov. 18 at 7pm with an open-to-the-public ticketed event to support the local charity We Don’t Waste (WeDontWaste.org). At an open house hosted by RTD on Oct. 23, local residents just wanted to know when the A Line trains will be allowed to stop blowing their warning horns. RTD told the crowd of frustrated area residents that implementation of a quiet zone along the A Line rail corridor now depends on action by the Colorado Public Utilities Commission (PUC).
