Middle Schoolers Pass AP Exams
Last spring, nine brave eighth-graders at Denver Language School (DLS) took and successfully passed college-level Advanced Placement (AP) exams in either Chinese or Spanish Language and Culture. This represented a 100% pass rate in the pilot of year of DLS’s AP program.

Tower Renovation Nears Completion
In the building where air traffic controllers once coordinated landings and takeoffs for the old Stapleton Airport, Punch Bowl Social will open on Nov. 18 at 7pm with an open-to-the-public ticketed event to support the local charity We Don’t Waste (WeDontWaste.org). RTD Tells Frustrated Residents: It’s Now Up to the PUC
At an open house hosted by RTD on Oct. 23, local residents just wanted to know when the A Line trains will be allowed to stop blowing their warning horns. RTD told the crowd of frustrated area residents that implementation of a quiet zone along the A Line rail corridor now depends on action by the Colorado Public Utilities Commission (PUC).

At first glance, a LimeBike is unremarkable: a brightly colored three-speed comfort bike with a front-wheel basket, warning bell, head lamp, reflectors and wheel fenders. But it represents a paradigm shift in the bikesharing industry.
School Performance Framework: What Does it Measure in 2017?
Denver Public Schools (DPS) released results of its School Performance Framework (SPF) measure last month. The SPF provides a color-coded “report card” for each of the nearly 200 schools in DPS. This year brings a marked increase in the number of schools deemed to be meeting or exceeding expectations.
