Colorado State University professor Temple Grandin has long been celebrated as one of the world’s leading authorities on the subjects of animal welfare and autism, so it’s only natural that the new CSU Spur campus at the National Western Center features a facility for equine assisted services bearing her name.

A great blue heron, a ubiquitous large shorebird that hangs around shallow water hunting for fish, and the yellow warbler, a common song bird with bright color and a beautiful melody, were photographed recently at the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge around Lake Ladora.

Hubble Still Unveiling Mysteries of the Universe

Sue Stomps into Denver
SUE, the largest and most complete Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton ever found, has arrived at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science for a two-month visit. Designed to appeal to dinosaur lovers of all ages, the exhibition features large-screen animations of SUE’s swampy habitat, a re-creation of the archaeological dig where SUE was found, touchable bronze casts of SUE’s bones, and more than 20 fossils of dinosaurs discovered in Colorado.
2021 Stock Show: Memories Only
There won’t be any little piggies or cute bunnies or a stick-horse rodeo this year. In fact, there won’t be a National Western Stock Show (NWSS) and Rodeo. For only the second time in the event’s 115-year history it has been cancelled, this time due to the corona virus pandemic.
