The Jets Lacrosse Club, which started in 2009 with “a handful” of players, now has 14 teams with a total of about 250 players, mostly from Stapleton, Park Hill and Lowry, says U13 coach Stephen Flannery.

In June, A+ Colorado, an educational advocacy organization, released “Start with the Facts: Denver Public Schools at a Inrossroads,” a report that examines the current state of affairs in Denver Public Schools (DPS) and recommends future directions.
The three owners of Next Level Prep are parents with kids the same ages: each has a son age 17 and a daughter age 15. Their high schoolers are part of the first generation born in Stapleton.
